Hamjambo!  Because I want to keep in touch with so many people while I am away, I thought this would be the easiest thing to do.  I'm hoping to update my journal at least once a month.  However, it's just going to depend on where I can get internet service and when I can get there.  One of the things I have been told I will need is patience, so you're all going to have to practice it with me!  I can't wait to share the stories of all my adventures with all of you, so keep in touch!

About My Project

Right now I am teaching Form 1 Biology at Mahuta Day Secondary School, as well as a Femina Health Club after school.  I teach at the health clinic, have a community health group made up of older people in town, and a peer educator's group in one of the primary schools.  As a secondary project Jen, Thais and I are in the process of planning a big Newala AIDS Day event for December 1st World AIDS Day.
